The Lineage of the King Treasure Discoverer Pema Lingpa’s Dharma Cycle

According to the prophecy within the Lungten Okyi Drawa (The Net of Radiant Light), the disciples of the Sovereign Treasure Discoverer, Orgyen Pema Lingpa (1450–1521), were foretold to manifest in inconceivable numbers. The scripture declares:

"Ten thousand were linked by the cord of past Karma; One thousand and two were bound by the strength of Aspiration; Eleven sons were entrusted with the profound Essential Points; Seven were the Holders of the Mandala; And three emerged as the Heart-Sons of the Enlightened Mind."

As prophesied, Pema Lingpa’s followers were vast and diverse, encompassing eminent scholars, treasure discoverers, and yogis from various Tibetan Buddhist traditions, as well as lay practitioners throughout Bhutan, India, and Tibet.

The transmission stream of these profound teachings has been passed down from Pema Lingpa through a continuous and illustrious lineage. Through these successive masters, the empowerments, oral transmissions, and explanations have been disseminated extensively. Their spiritual potency remains undiminished, and the lineage remains perfectly intact to this day.
